THE VERKHOVNA RADA OF UKRAINE CONTINUES ITS PLENARY WORK ON WEDNESDAY, 21 MAY

 At the beginning of the morning plenary meeting, the People´s Deputies presented their reports, motions and appeals.

 Then the People´s Deputies scrutinized the Bill "On Ratification of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark on Readmission of Persons".  

 The profile Committee on European Integration upheld ratification of the Agreement. Borys Tarasiuk, Committee Chairman, stated that ratification of the Agreement continued the process of conclusion of Agreements on readmission with all the EU members countries after the similar agreement with the European Union was ratified.

 The Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark on Readmission of Persons was ratified by 227 votes.  

Then the People´s Deputies discussed the Bill on Amendments to several Laws of Ukraine regarding  Nuclear Waste Treatment.   

The amendments envisage that the dues for pollution of the environment will be collected for production and temporary storage of nuclear waste. Pursuant to the Bill, the said funds will be collected to the State Budget of Ukraine, and allocated for realization of the State Program on Nuclear Waste Treatment. 

 The Verkhovna Rada adopted the Bill as a basis by 400 votes.

 Then the Parliament members scrutinized the Bill on Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On State Secret".  

The amendments envisage that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine grants the access to the State secret to the leaders of central executive bodies who were appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The Bill was adopted as a basis and in its entirety.  

At the end of the meeting, the People´s Deputies discussed and adopted as a basis the Bill on Amendments to Article 18 of the Administrative Legal Procedure Code of Ukraine (re Jurisdiction of Administrative Cases to the Local General Courts as Administrative Courts).

 The People´s Deputies upheld the Bill at the First Reading by 413 votes.  

Then the morning plenary meeting was closed.
